Сьогодні в Україні Генеральний секретар НАТО Марк Рютте. Говорили про безпеку України, усієї нашої Європи та Євроатлантики, про відносини з усіма нашими партнерами у Європі, в Америці.

Головна увага – посиленню протиповітряної оборони України. Абсолютно кожен бачить, якою гострою є потреба України в системах ППО і ракетах до них. Ми розраховуємо, що наші домовленості щодо ППО з партнерами у Європі, в Америці будуть реалізовані. «Петріоти» – це оборонна зброя, і ми не просто просимо про «петріоти» – ми готові купити їх. І це суто політичне питання: системи у світі є, ракети до «петріотів» також є, і виключно від рішень політиків залежить, чи буде в нас достатньо захисту від російської балістики.

Вдячний кожному лідеру, який не заплющує очі на реальність того, що тільки завдяки рішучості може бути досягнутий тривалий мир. Вдячний Марку Рютте за незмінну підтримку України від перших днів цієї війни.

Today, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is in Ukraine. We discussed the security of Ukraine, our entire Europe, and the Euro-Atlantic region, as well as relations with all our partners in Europe and America.

The main focus was on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. Absolutely everyone sees how urgent Ukraine’s need is for air defense systems and missiles for them. We are counting on the implementation of our agreements on air defense with partners in Europe and America. Patriot systems are defensive weapons, and we’re not just asking for Patriots — we are ready to purchase them. This is a purely political matter — the systems are available in the world, the missiles for the Patriots are also available, and whether we will have sufficient protection from Russian ballistic strikes depends entirely on political decisions.

I am grateful to every leader who does not turn a blind eye to the reality — that lasting peace can only be achieved through determination. I am grateful to Mark Rutte for the unwavering support for Ukraine since the earliest days of this war.
